PhD (Monash), BSc.Engineering (Hons)(Ruhuna)

Charith Jayasekara is an Electrical and Electronic Engineer with interest in cloud systems, machine learning and computational modelling of nano-optical devices. He received his PhD from Monash University in 2017 and the BSc degree in Engineering, in the field of Electrical and Information Engineering (with a first-class honours) from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka in 2013.
Charith was a PhD schloar from 2014 to 2017 in Monash University. During his PhD he received several prestigius awards from Monash. Those include Monash Graduate Scholarship, MIPRS, Postgraduate Publication Award and etc. He also won the S.D. Jayasundere memorial Gold medal for his undergraduate design and research project.

Unify-Tech International is a Software Development Company which is founded in 2017.The company designs and develops customised software systems (i.e. Web based systems, Smartphone applications and many more) for individuals and cooperate businesses.
Works as a Graduate Teaching Associate in the Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University, Australia.
Conduceted a PhD research in the Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Monash University. During his PhD, Charith modelled and characterised active nano plasmonic soruces (i.e. nano lasers) based on Graphene and Molybdenum Disulfide.
Tenured as a Lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka
Conducted PhD research under supervision of Professor Malin Premaratne in the Department of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering. During his research he pioneered to model and characterise a set of spaser (i.e. nano laser) designs based on Molybdenum Disulfide and Graphene.
Conducted bachelors degree in Engineering in the stream of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering, During his undergraduate studies, he worked as Trainee Engineer in Sri Lanka Telecom and Ceylon Electricity Board, Sri Lanka.
Head Prefect of the school from 2007 to 2008. President of college's Society of Information Technology from 2006-2007. After his school career, he became the first president of the Past Prefect's Association and tenured from 2010 to 2012.
